Some of my personal favourite things that I took away were to remember that everyone has good intentions, if we are unsure, it is ok to ask and get clarity. I am reminded to be a safe space for others to share their thoughts, feelings, ideas, and frustrations. I will remember to ask the question, "Do you want help/solutions or do you just need to vent?" This is a great tool to ensure I am creating a safe space for my co-workers and there to support in a way that is meaningful and positive to them.
The whole experience was positive and empowering, and reminded me that we have the tools, we just have to put them into practice!

Nancy and I have been working together for the last year on making a number of improvements in the office.
I found that I was attending conferences and CE’s and figuring out what I needed to do and work on in our office and I’d come back motivated and incredibly overwhelmed. I’d make no changes because the follow-through wasn’t there… that’s where Nancy came in. She’s helped me figure out the pain points (the easy part) and then we’ve made a plan to change it and then she’s the one that’s been implementing and holding us accountable. Since working with her we’ve started a Dry Eye Clinic and more recently we are starting up our Myopia Clinic (among many other things she has helped us implement).
